On October 2, 2023, Maulana and Partners Law Firm welcomed a delegation from the Japan-Indonesia Lawyers Association (JILA) to office. The meeting was attended by JILA members, staff from Universities in Indonesia, JICA Experts, and several law firms from Indonesia and Japan.
The visit of the JILA delegation to Maulana and Partners Law Firm is a positive step towards strengthening the ties between Japanese and Indonesian lawyers. The two delegations are committed to working together to promote mediation and collaboration between Japanese and Indonesian businesses, including universities in Indonesia through workshops and seminars for law students and practitioners.

The goal of the socialization is to increase awareness of mediation as a viable means of resolving disputes between Japanese and Indonesian businesses. The plan also aims to build the capacity of Indonesian lawyers to conduct mediations involving Japanese businesses considering the Japanese government has been in a close relationship with the Indonesian government.
On the other hand, the socialization of Japanese and Indonesian business law, intellectual property law, and competition law are important steps toward strengthening the ties between Japanese and Indonesian businesses. The plan is expected to benefit both Japanese and Indonesian businesses by providing them with a more efficient and cost-effective way to resolve disputes.
